Job Description: Civil Engineering and Surveying Company located in Oklahoma City is looking for experienced AutoCAD Technician who will immediately be able to perform a variety of complex and technical engineering tasks (project layout, design, and review) for various private, city governmental and state governmental agencies in preparing construction plans.
Education and Experience: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certificate required. Additional education is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 2 years civil drafting experience in production of municipal and/or state projects is required.
Knowledge and Skills: A qualified candidate will
- be familiar with standard drafting policies and procedures;
- understand engineering design concepts related to water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems and transportation (roadway) systems;
- have knowledge of engineering math, topographical surveying, concept of preparing construction plans, specifications, and the basic principles and objective of construction planning and analysis;
- have experience with AutoCAD 2007 or later version and basic Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).

Description: Civil Engineering and Surveying Company located in Oklahoma City is looking for an Engineering Intern to fulfill full-time position. Intern must be pursuing or have completed a Civil Engineering degree and have experience with Autocad 2007 or later version. Prior relevant experience is also preferred.
Intern will be expected to perform a variety of complex and technical engineering tasks (project layout, design and review) for various private, city governmental and state governmental agencies in preparing construction plans. Intern must demonstrate effective communication skills and professional conduct, including the ability to complete tasks on time. Engineering Interns will be under the general supervision of the project or engineering manager.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of engineering math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, trigonometry), topographical surveying, concept of preparing construction plans, specifications, and the basic principles and objective of construction planning and analysis.
Understand engineering design concepts related to water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems and transportation (roadway) systems.
Skills with desktop computers and hand held calculators. Experience with AutoCAD 2007 or latest version and basic Microsoft applications (Word and Excel) are required. Experience with design software such as Eagle Point, CivilCADD, AutoDesk, Microstation/In Roads and other type of engineering design software is preferred but not required.
Preference will be given to candidates who have passed the Fundaments of Engineering Exam.
Examples of Work: Extract data from a variety of sources (surveys, as-built plans, plats, design manuals, field notes) and prepare design ready drawings.
Recognize and report errors and inconsistencies with data. Must have a working knowledge of surveying and basic engineering concepts (construction materials, grades, construction equipment, and terminology).
Set up and prepare plan sheets for design for project engineer’s/engineering manager’s review for multi-discipline projects. Projects may vary from private land development (sub-divisions and commercial building sites) to public improvements (water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, waste water lift stations, roadway improvements, traffic signal improvements, drainage improvements and storm water collection systems, storm water detention, county bridge improvements, state and federal highway improvements).
Review design plans (site plans, plan and profile sheets, detail sheets, etc.) to ensure compliance with design guidelines, review comments and established governmental (city or state) procedures.
Meet with clients to discuss scope of project and propose preliminary design.
Write technical reports including feasibility studies and preliminary engineering reports.
Work Schedule: Work schedule may be established to accommodate the individual’s class schedule if the individual is in the process of completing a Civil Engineering degree. Full time individuals will work 40 hour weeks (typically 4 9-hour days and one 4-hour day).

Job Title: SURVEY CREW CHIEF

Description: Supervision of Survey Field Crews to perform a variety of survey tasks (collecting of field data for design and transaction surveys for various private, city governmental and state governmental agencies). Creating and maintaining data, both written and electronic, of the information collected in the performance of these tasks
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of general math (add, subtract, multiply, divide), and a strong willingness to learn. Four years experience in the performance of field surveying with a knowledge of the operation of survey equipment and the proper procedures and minimum standards of surveying. Construction staking knowledge is an advantage.
Education and Experience: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certificate required. College credit with surveying courses encouraged.
Required Work Schedule: Minimum 40 working hours per week is required. Additional work hours may be needed when requested. Must be willing to travel out of town. Time off for most recognized holidays would be paid. Paid vacation is accrued bi-weekly, for a total of 95 hours per year for the first five (5) years of employment. Three (3) weeks of vacation per year for employment more than five (5) years.
Monetary Compensation: Compensation is at market value based upon qualifications, experience and productivity.
Other Compensation: All new company hires have a mandatory three (3) month probationary period. Full time employees will have the opportunity to participate in the company’s benefits plan. A shared cost (Employee and Employer paid) health insurance plan is offered to all full time employees as a benefit. Employee dependants may be added to the health insurance plan at the employee’s expense. Health insurance coverage begins the 1st day of the month following the date hired.
